Old Racers at Roxboro Dragway (Person County)

If you have an old race car, 1976 and older, that you raced "back in the day", come and join us on Friday night, October 14, at Roxboro Dragway. You might remember it as Person County Dragstrip. The two events are not connected in anyway; however, with all of the historic race cars and drivers in the area for the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame show in Henderson, NC, Roxboro has set up a special "nostalgia" race on Friday night. Word is that there will be some pretty famous old cars and drivers at this race. The gates will not open until after 6:00 pm in order for everyone to enjoy the barbeque and show in Henderson on Friday and then go to the drag strip. If you have an old race car, you are an "old driver/owner" or you just was a spectator back in the days when these cars raced, come out and join us for some "serious" bench racing and some fun racing. Roxboro has posted some prize money for some of the racing so it might renew some friendships on the dragstip.
