Went to Roxboro, NC today for a Stk/SS combo double header, have'nt been in the car since August and was really excited about getting back in the drivers seat. We knew we had made good improvements to the tune up on this unknown combo for us but still didn't know what to expect.
Long story short....on the second pass the car went 8.007 ![]() For all the guys that don't know we run an '88 Thunderbird 140 c.i. turbo combination that none of our crew has any experience with. Our own 1/8th mile record is 8.145 this spring. Congratulations to my car owner Mike Ismay for Never giving up and working tirelessly to learn, All-Star Performance for all their help and Mark Young for getting me in a seat and putting up with both of us! 1/4 mile racing in Fayetteville next Saturday and I can't wait. |

Marc, congratulations on what turned out to be a pretty good day. You've got "more than one round win" now.
![]() BTW, what happened in the semi's of race one? All I could report was that Joe Huestis got a solo while you remained in the lanes. You made a time run a few minutes later. Was it a starting problem? |

Good to have you back out there w/ us Marc. Driving wasn't too shabby either, .004 and broke out .003 killing 3 mph in race #2, that's just some good class racing I guess!

Very impressive yesterday Marc. I could see the gleam in Mike's eye after that 8 flat pass !!The car will get even better as you guys learn what that turbo likes. Great job !!

Thanks everybody....it's been quite an interesting road but well worth it.
