A stocker in A/SA ran -1.205 in Mission this weekend.
I thought that according to the AHFS rules, a run of -1.2 or more under the index was supposed to result in an automatic two tenths adjustment to the class index? Shouldn't the A/SA class index now be 10.80 instead of 11.00? Just a bit confused why the change hasn't been made. Thanks for the help in advance. |

You're welcome.
Pay particular attention to the last paragraph: http://www.nhra.com/competition/automatichp.aspx

1.25 under gets you automatic hit. Its first adjustment will make it a AA/SA only that cars weight break is 7.54 right now, 7.5 or lower makes it a AA only. Except for the converitables are 7.83 but have not seen one on the track yet. That is for a 2010 CJ. the 2008 CJ is already a AA only. So it will not be to long for 2010 to be AA only if some body does not get it hit before mid year review. The mid year review should give it HP if it doesnt get hit for a 1.25 under run. Correct me if I have this wrong.

They do not adjust the index in Stock (it already dropped 3 tenths), they adjust the HP factor on the combination that made the run.
