Default mod motor mustang stocker??

Does any body run a 99-04 mustang in stock or super stock with the 4.6 mod motor?? I am interested in seeing if one of these cars would be a viable combination in stock or super stock

Bret Velde runs an 03 (I think) in A/S. It's the 4.6L supercharged rated at 390 HP.

I have not seen any 99 to 04 2V Mustang in Stock Eliminator. I think that a lot of racers are afraid to try to build a race car out of the Modular motor. The 2v modular heads don't flow that well, even the PI heads (99-04) NHRA also doesn't have the specs correct for that engine either. The year 99 valve lift is listed correctly at 505/534 but they messed up the 00 to 04. (280/295) They should be the same. If I were to build one I would build a 01 or later because they have a little more compression and the same factory horsepower rating.

Yes it is the 8.8" solid axle in the Mach 1. That was a bad brain fart ...The 99 and up Cobras came with the IRS.
MM&FF did an article on a completely stock Mach 1 and it ran 13.13-seconds at 105.5.

I own a 04 Mach 1 with a manual trans 4.56 gear and a real good tune and it runs 12.20's on drag radials all day no other engine mods and without headers. The potential of the 4 valve modular is there wish I had the $$$ to show you guys. To check out other fast Modular style race cars go to www.nmradigital.com.

The 03 Mach 1 is the only Mach 1 listed in the guide right now. motor is rated at 320 hp by NHRA.

in E/S, the index is 11.95 @ 3370#
D/S 11.80 @ 3210#
F/S 12.10 @3530#
C/FI same as E/S

what do these cars actually weigh? guide shipping weight is 3210#

Chris I'd say that's light...I think they would make a good "pure stock" car though. would fit C/PS & D/PS with indexs of 12.75/8.30 &13.10/8.50
