Larry, I want to ask a question about your 4.3. do you keep the balance bar in the engine or remove it ? Wanting to play with a carb 4.3 for bracket truck S10 for granddaughter. thanks for the info.

The 1986 Chevy 4.3 did not have counter balance shafts the '87 did. Racing it with the incorrect block would be against the rules. Billy Lynn or Mr. Greening would be able to supply an experienced answer on the counter balance engine.

No balance shaft. Plug oil hole in back of block and have engine balanced.
