Morning gang - After an uneventful cruise down 95 we got here at dinnertime and set up camp after picking out a nice pit spot .Not nearly as many racers here as one would think considering the double deal .
So much for nice as most of the evening and night were spent hearing the pitter patter on the roof .Much worse is that that light sound has turned into coming down in buckets .But cars are rolling in as its supposed to clear up and move out later today . As always please remember - I'm just the messenger ! ! ! !

Good news for a change -rain quit before noon and the Sun is shining .The place is drying out nicely but for some reason they called the test n tune for today .
I suspect the crack D1 Safari crew will have some heavy work to do to get the place clean and dry for tomorrow morning. Later .........

First pair just went done the track, they have been working on track for... it seems like forever. Lots a rain sure messed things up here, but the good news is the rest of the week looks great.
Here are some shots from the pits... |

Always wanted to race at Dinwidde but it would be a little bit of a trip to get there from Seattle. Started my racing at the old Richmond dragstrip in 1975 with my new 1975 Pinto and other friends for our first trip down the track. Went to high school in Prince George (outside of Petersburg). That is where the hook was set.
Everyone have a safe race and thank you for the reporting.

Qualifying is up On Divisional Live Timing, albeit it's sorted by class not OV/UN.
What's up with that? Scott Gove, AA/SA, 60ft - 1.273! WOW! |
