Zoom Ring & Pinion

Just came across a set of ZOOM gears that are New Old Stock. The box is a bit tattered but the it states on the box PERFECTION HY-TEST. Are these gears any good or should I scrap them. If my memory serves me correctly, Zoom gears were popular in the 70's.

They should be good.

Set the pinion depth to the value on the end of the pinion.

Set the ring and pinion up by pattern and backlash.Never fails.
