My understanding is that the AETC (Advanced Engine Technical Conference) prior to the show was cancelled this year.
Does anyone know if that was a one year deal or if the conference is gone forever? I went to one a long time ago when SuperFlow had them in Colorado and found it to be a great learning experience for me. I found a lot of the other attendees to be interesting people. |

not hijacking this thread but SEMA at the PRI said that the US Congress is trying to passHR-5434 the RPM act that would prevent converting "street cars" into race cars along with adding SEMA approved aftermarket performance equipment----READ UP ON IT B---let your Representatives and Senators in Congress know you are against it and encourage them to vote accordingly-you can read all about it on the PRI /E-news today---FED 387

Per the PRI email newsletter...
"US Representatives Patrick McHenry (R-NC) and Raul Ruiz (D-CA) have introduced H.R. 5434, the Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports Act of 2019 (RPM Act of 2019). The bipartisan RPM Act of 2019 protects Americans’ right to convert street vehicles into dedicated race cars and the motorsports parts industry’s ability to sell products that enable racers to compete." A rare attempt to prevent an alphabet agency - namely the EPA - from overstepping their bounds and imposing their will on the public. We went around with this a few years ago - https://www.classracer.com/classforu...ad.php?t=61934 - and it wasn't enacted. I understand Congress is preoccupied but we still need to let our reps know this needs to become law. |
