My understanding is that the AETC (Advanced Engine Technical Conference) prior to the show was cancelled this year.

Does anyone know if that was a one year deal or if the conference is gone forever?

I went to one a long time ago when SuperFlow had them in Colorado and found it to be a great learning experience for me. I found a lot of the other attendees to be interesting people.

I think the bill actually allows the removal of emissions equipment if the car is going to be used soley for competition.

The Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports (RPM) Act:

* Confirms that it has always been Congress’ intent that racecars are not included in the Clean Air Act’s definition of regulated “motor vehicles.”

* Makes clear that it has always been legal to modify a street vehicle into a racecar used exclusively at the track.

* Confirms that modifying these vehicles for exclusive track use would not be considered tampering and subject to substantial fines.

The bipartisan RPM Act of 2019 protects Americans’ right to convert street vehicles into dedicated race cars and the motorsports parts industry’s ability to sell products that enable racers to compete."

A rare attempt to prevent an alphabet agency - namely the EPA - from overstepping their bounds and imposing their will on the public.

We went around with this a few years ago - https://www.classracer.com/classforu...ad.php?t=61934 - and it wasn't enacted. I understand Congress is preoccupied but we still need to let our reps know this needs to become law.
