Use an O2 sensor instead.

Like Glenn said, go with an O2 sensor that will record the run.
lots to be learned there . ....EGT'S might help keep you from falling off the too lean cliff, but you wont get the info you need to really find a good tune up. Motorsports Innovations is a sponsor of this site and can give you a couple of options.

I have a egt from Motorsport Innovation I would sell cheap. The probe is missing and is $89 from Motorsport. I would sell you meter for $35 shipped to you. Honestly though I would go with O2 set up. Just throwing it out there if you want to try it on the cheap.
