Smile Matt Schurman

I just wanted to post this for everyone to read and see...how our racing community is a close knit one and I really found out how close this weekend...

Matt helped me beyond description this weekend after my little incident and I appreciate that beyond words...

Matt, thanks again you are a true friend and I really appreciate that...

(even if you are a J-O-M)...

Matt,

You are a great guy and most know it. I am curious if anyone knows how we met. A few years back I was stopped in a rest area in the men's bathroom on a way to a divisional race. Next to me was this tall, goofy looking guy who seemed to be staring at me like a piece of meat. I thought nothing of this and continued to do my "business" at the urinial. As I was about to step away and wash my hands, this goofy guy (now known to me as Matt) quite nicely asked, "Is there anything I can help you with little boy?" I will always remember what a nice guy you were that day. For some reason, when I tell others this story, they begin to laugh, and till this day I can't figure out why. Oh Well....that is my Matt Schurman story.

P.S. Congrats on the win

Maggs Jr.

Matt, Congratulations on winning the one that I left get away! ,,,,, The track won more races than any of us this weekend. ,,,,,,,, Dave, I hope the damage is as repairable as it looked.,,,,,, I don't know if it would have prevented what happened, but I think it was another good reason to have a diaper. ,,,,,,, Tom

Thumbs up Re: Matt Schurman

Hey Dave,
We are just all glad that you are OK. Hopefully the car is not that bad and you can come out and play some more this year.

On that note of helping out in a big way I have to send a BIG THANK YOU to alot of people myself, after my 1st round win on Saturday I came back to the hissing sound coming from my back tire. Somehow I ran over a piece of metal about the size of a pencil point that sliced the tube in half all the way around (When I think about it Iggie was in front of me on the return road....haha....just kidding). But before I could blink, Dave Morris was over in a heartbeat with a air tank, Don Knoblick and Bob Stiffles were over with the tools, Tom Goldman was there with a new tube and Ron Orbin was over getting the tire off the rim. We ALMOST looked like a NASCAR pit crew fixing the tire..haha. Anyways I wanted to send out a BIG THANKS to all of you for dropping what you did and coming to the rescue of a racer. You guys are the best!!! Hey Tom do you want any money for the tube??

Rob

Thanks for the kind words. I was just happy to be there.

Thanks to Uncle Buck and the G. Donhauser crew, Pete and Leanne Luciano, BK racing for a great time and great food. Your hard work and efforts make these races fantastic to attend.

Frankie, you know Johnny Maggs is lying, ""As I was about to step away and wash my hands,"" ----- that sick bastard never washes his hands.....

Asta....can I park by you if I promise not to talk too much?

John that is pretty funny, you know that I had a similar story. (I thought I was the only one) I was at Richard Stockton Rest area on the NJ turnpike and I saw Matt and some guy named Regis hanging out by a trailer laughing at some video on a laptop. I thought nothing of it so i went to see what was so funny, when I approached they closed the laptop quickly and asked if i wanted some candy that they kept in the back of the race car trailer.

Wierd huh?

Matt Great Job, glad to see ya kicken some ***!
