Agreed. I think it's worth mentioning that that track owner has paid the full purse for the last several years even when the car count did not meet the quota. I will be back next year.

First and foremost. I like going to Napierville, it is a great event, the open and the later august/sept race are both great. If you have not been, you should put it on your bucket list. There is just something,,,,let's say ,,,FRIENDLY,,,, about going to Canada and racing. It is just a different experience.

The Saturday schedule certainly worked with the weather issue this year, i am on the fence if it should be made a Saturday race. I have always thought opens should be Sunday races, but this event is different in a few ways. 1, there always seems to be time for plenty of time trials on race day, we had 3 on Saturday this year. 2. Many racers travel farther for this event, so if let's say James Perrone needs to work till 5 on Friday, he has an 8 hour ride, so he gets there at 1am, and time trials start at 10 saturday, it is certainly doable, and then you have Sunday to get home.

Or , have the race on Sunday, and you can take your time getting there and the Sunday night trip home goes later.

Thanks to the track and D1 for what they do, it was a great event, and when they changed the schedule, I got 2 phone messages from the track telling me the change, customer service at the highest level.
