Collector tether question

If your collectors bolt on.to the headers with tabs are you still required to use the tethers? Thanks

Only way you DO NOT need tethers is if you weld the collectors to the tubes. I believe the rule says you need at least a 1" stitch on at least 2 tubes but I could be off on that.

1/2" weld per tube......I just did mine and tig welded them a lot more than that.

They needed recoating anyway and I also added a weld bung for O2....

Now I need a big box to ship them in.....
