Default Track Your Trailer

I just had a hell of a brain fart. I got a Tagg Pet Tracker gps for my dog so he wouldn't get lost again. It's a small unit that alerts me when Buddy leaves his area. It also sends a map to where he is at. I think it can be put in a trailer and might help finding stuff a lot quicker. It only costs 99 bucks and it's 8 bucks a month after the free 3 months they give you. with all the stuff being stolen theses days this might be an inexpensive way to go.
What do y'all think?

I'm in. Let me know how it works. Turns out they tried to take trailer and all so I am trying to feel better right now that they did not get everything.

Tommy Johnson sr sells gps units for trailers. You set up a geofence wherever it's parked and it will text your phone if it leaves the area. You can also track it on the Internet. No monthly fee you end up paying a small fee every time it alerts you or you track it. Gives me a sense of security, especially when the car is loaded in the trailer before leaving for a race!

A wireless home security system that uses cellphone modem is also a solution.

Floyd,

How much range does it have? I'm guessing its unlimited? Does it take a battery in the collar? We spent four days in January( in Ohio) one year hunting our Australian Shepard. Found him 5 miles away. We now have a Garmin Astro tracking unit .Its big in the coon hunting circles, .Works great but the range is 3-4 miles and the battery life of the collar is only 6-7 hours ,so if your going to locate your animal, you better do it quick..And I think it was about 300 bucks.

in the school bus fleet we have a gps system called everyday wireless soulutions and its a small box 3x3x3 , its a12 volt system ,the system will track anywhere even under certain roof tops ,if the system is disconected it will give its last location ,,its a website that you go to to track your fleet ,now this might be something that could be worked into a new product that dosent need all of the bells and whistles of a school bus application witch has logging of bus operations such as brake, door, turn signal, warning lights ,

Jeff, the range seems to be unlimited as long as you have cell coverage. They say battery life is 30 days but if you take it away from it's area it sends you a message every 10 minutes and that cuts the battery life down to about a week. It will send you a message that the battery is low. My dog goes with me a lot so I get constant messages about where he is. It even sends you address and a map to it's location. Check it out, tagg.com
