Unhappy Houston Stock Eliminator

54 cars in Stock Eliminator and not (one) manual transmission car, pretty sad...

Yes it is. I can remember the days I started NHRA racing going to the points races and seeing racers like SE Buchanan, Larry Yow, Charlie Ford, DeLight Southland Sonny Hall and more. The transmissions and clutches are so much easier today to run than they were back in those I don't know why there not many running in stock any more.
Guess I'll still fly the ole stick handle in Super Stock.Wouldn't what do with all that extra time going down the track anyway.

Yes it is very sad and like Mr. Colvert stated it used to be the other way around no wonder it was such much fun back then! This is exactly why i am doing the transition, to bring some "fun" aspect back into the game and compete at the same time. Mr. Colvert, congrats on your showing this past weekend that was bad fast and a testament to what we will be up against this year i love it!!

Funny you brought this up. When I saw Kevin Helms this weekend I told him I didn't know who he was and couldn't talk to him (jokingly) when i saw the A/SA on the car. It didn't seem to matter cuz he went to the semi finals any way. Think he now has MORE time to concentrate on kicking everyone's ***** with the auto car......not good! lol

Informed sources tell me the car in question has a clutch pedal in it... and will soon have the bits to go with it.

The red car Kevin drives should be put together with Velcro as much as they change it.
