Default plumbing hand brake

i know it's not legal, but this weekend i watched a good friend lose his brakes at the big end @ 140 mph. End result one very nice chevy 2 destoryed after rolling 6 times, but who cares about the car, he ended up with a broken back but should make a full recovery. This is the second time i have had a close friend lose brakes at the big end.So it's time for me to have a secondary brake system, if he would've had a hand brake things would've been very different. So what i'm wondering is how you guys would do a hand brake set up. Ex. another set of calipers on back, another master cyl. plumbed into lines on car now???? thanks for your replys. kevin lively jr.
