Take out Holzman and it would be more interesting.

Had the extreme pleasure of meeting and talking shop with Paul Adams at Norwalk last spring...I know then he was planning on Indy (saving his "Indy" motor), and really looking forward to getting another bite of the CJ apple....he was juiced. He's quite the story.

Another great story is Jerry Hefler in Stock....here's hoping for the best

You know, the characters and stories in our classes are waaay better and of human interest than any of the Pros NHRA repeatedly shoves down our throats....oh well

Adams was in a plane crash. He is having to wear a halo due to injuries. Unless he gets a hired shoe, there will be no red thunder this year.

We all know the SS/Blower cars can run in the .30's-.40's. But i got a strong feeling. That if they want to get around this years field, they will be bolting on weight come Tuesday.

Where are the AMX's this year? I figured they would at least show up to run in this class or at least SS/C

Anybody know if Depillo has the A motor in for this year. I would love to see what one of Barton's or Wescott's motors would do in his car.

Paul Adams is one of the nicest guys anyone could ever meet. I met him a couple of years ago and I especially look forward to any race that he enters. It's a shame that he won't be driving at Indy to defend his SS/B class championship from last year. I attend Indy every year and that class win meant the world to him.

I agree, Paul is a class act. We pitted next to each other at the Sportsnationals in Bowling Green earlier this year and he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Hate to hear about his accident.

I'm betting Mrs. Connell remembers the "old age and treachery will overcome youth and exuberance" that was painted on the back of a certain race car.
