Is this a bit of redemption for the opponents of these cars? By no means am I for them just asking. I think it's rediculous that an E car is damn near in the 9's. Did Fletcher see the writing on the wall thus the switch to F? Although Tueton is in G w a DP. Maybe not a fair comparison. What do you think? Steve Polhill being down to 8 cars is cool. Not one car built after 1980 (if I'm correct) in the final 4 and all these guys had their fair share of stiff competition to get where they are.

Tim Bishop - one of the final four in his '97 Firebird Firehawk Ram Air LT1 B/S just defeated Dan Fletcher and will face "Bad" Brad Burton with his 455 in the final that will showcase two red Firebirds - one from the East and the other from the left coast ...................

If I could have any stocker I wanted, an A/SA or a AA car would do it for me, that is, a 69 Camaro. Unfortunately, they are a costly car to build, a costly car to run, and there are a lot of them. That means, lots of R&D, test and tunes, wear and tear, parts and supplies, plus the ever costly learning curve. The DP/CJ thing came along and really added to all this. Dan Fletcher's move to a 396/325 makes perfect sense. The lower horsepower engine will go the distance, as the 375/425 horse combos seem to get revved to the point of near total demolition to get them to work.In another thread, the question was put up,"How to beat a CJ/DP car ? Once out of their class, the laws of physics and the game plan is the same-"drill the tree, dial correctly, run the number , drive the stripe".

Fletcher made the move b/c there is no prayer heads up against the new pieces of crap. If you dont have a mustang or challenger, dont bother showing up in a fast class. Actually, now they are filtering on down through the middle classes too. Time for all of us to build 2010 mustangs/challengers.
