Things are flying right along at Maryland Int'l Raceway in Budds Creek, MD, so much so that this is the first opportunity I've had to check in... Two qualifying runs in the books already, and they've said that barring downtime, looks like they'll give us a 3rd hit. There's Stock Class at this event, albeit sans runoffs: quickest qualifier wins Class. They're aalready into Top Sportsman, so it won't be long before we're back to the top of the order.
Weather brought to you by my Computech RaceAir Pro... Q1 at 8:54am, 76.8 deg, 71%, 30.01, 1741 DA Q2 at 11:15am, 82.9 deg, 61%, 30.02, 2141 DA It's gotten warm, but it's sunny, sunny, sunny... And a great outlook all weekend.

1st rnd of Stock is done, and a strange one it was... Don't know how much was "strategy" and how much was weather, but people were all over the dial... .05 under, .05 over or more. I even ran the same guy that I ran in the last time shot. We both dialed about what we ran... Mine hardly budged, and he ran way off. Crazy. I've seen MIR throw some curveballs, but it seemed like many of these were self-induced.
That being said, there were many mechanical gremlins throughout the weekend. Jamie Southards slowed inexplicably, Myron split a rocker, Lisa Bolton took out a ring n pinion, so they swapped both the rear and trans. I think Ed Lonhaney (driving Mike's I/CM Duster) hurt a trans in testing last night.... DW, Jr's playing with carbs on his new GT/EA Camaro, Jeff Serra is getting a crash course in 4-Door Stocker class (and made it past a red Bill Belden).... Everybody's working on stuff! Bertozzi was red to Dave Outten Longhaney over Bolton Truell over Ribeiro Piatek over L'I'll Duane Eiskant Gene Jordan was red Bogan over Iacono big double breakout Think DW Jr got his 1st round of SS! ...All the details on DRC

Hey Michael, tell Jeff Serra to be careful in the 4door Stocker. It very possibly might have a new home in WV in the near future. Mike

I'm not bashing i just hate to see this stuff happen, and yes Cecil threw a monkey wrench into things big-time. But still unexceptionable to say the least.
