Does anyone know if Bob Beckert is still around? I am trying to find some info on an old S/S car he might have owned back in the 70's. I belive that he was out of the Philadelphia area?
Thanks, Mark J |

Go to the HAMB forum, Junior Stock thread. Plenty of old timers there from that part of the country.

I remember the car. It was a root beer brown SS/OA (350/auto?). Not a single decal on it. Bob was very quiet, but not unsocialble. The only visible race item on the car was the Fenton wheels. Even the white lettering on the tires was mounted inside! Back when an enclosed trailer was a show stopper, Bob flat towed the Olds along the Pennsylvania Turnpike with a mid sixties Ford Galaxie four door. Many Super Stock racers dreaded seeing that car roll through the gate.
