This was Mr Maxwells project when the factory wanted to win everything. It ran Super Stock for 2 years then Modified. 426 HEMI 4000 LBS with a 4 speed back then.

I remember this car! Don't know exactly where they were from but do know the car.
IHRA as I remember it. But then AGAIN we spent alot of time at both so I don't know where I saw it. Was beautiful though...

I think a chicago area racer bought it ,and raced it in modified in the mid 1970s. I remember seeing it at Byron,and Union Grove,wi.

Lee was actually more brutal in AHRA racing with this car; won three AHRA National events IIRC.

My brother and Ronnie Hamlin were just talking about this car this weekend. Then it shows up for sale. A hemi 4 speed wagon over 4k pounds is as hard core as you can get. Remember they didnt get Spools for the rear til 72. They ran that with a Stock Dana Posi Unit.
