Default Race car insurance

I know there has been a thread on this before, but I am to lazy to dig that deep. In light of Dons accident, I more than ever realize I need to insure my race car. I am checking with Bill Lutz. I cant remember any others at this point. Please help. I know of stock racer Dick Kincaid, but need a contact. Who do you guys have?
Thanks

I think Don Kennedy offers insurance for race cars.

Called Kincaids, The lady on the phone acted like I was bothering her. She mumbled something, I said "I am sorry, what was that?" She started talking EXTREMELY loud, I started laughing and told her thanks but no thanks.
I will keep looking

Speaking of insurance.. I have a friend who was getting crazy life insurance quotes of $300/month because he races a car that is under 9 seconds. He thought he was going to pay about $25 month.

He races about 6 times a year, but the insurance companies did not care.. I thought he should not even tell them he races??

What do racers out there use for life insurance?

Tom

I know nothing about this company but saw reference to them offering on-track coverage on the comp racer forum (BISA Insurance services). I have my coverage (off-track) through Don Kennedy.

Call Don Kennedy! He offers the best race car insurance by far. Your car is covered everywhere except when you're in the staging lanes and going down the track! Others didn't even cover the car when it was in the trailer!!! Where does your car spend most of it's time??? In the trailer!!! And this insurance is very cheap! We pay roughly $650/yr for 2 cars! How can you beat that???

My previous employer brought in an AFLAC agent to discuss suplemental insurance (3 years ago). In print, under high risk conditions (or something similar), it said you are 100% covered, unless in competition. I asked the agent to elaborate, and he said that he raced Quads. Unless he was in competition, he was covered. I pointed out that we have timed runs and qualifying runs that have nothing to do with competition...to which he gave me the same answer. I know this doesn't have to do with race car insurance, but I thought it was interesting, nonetheless. Maybe they would have something for the car as well. I never looked into the agents statements any further, and maybe he was feeding me a line trying to sell a policy, but who knows? Might be worth looking into.

Thumbs down Re: Race car insurance

Mike,

You know what the old saying is, if it sounds to good to be true than be Real careful and read the fine print.. I had race insurance for the last 10 years and was told everything except going down the track & staging lanes were covered ? Never had a claim in 10 years, last fall I backup into a dump truck in the pits and thought I was covered, surprise no coverage while car is running at all.... So they all look good till you have to use them , I was paying over $ 500 per year for coverage that didn't pay anything ... So, everyone can tell you how great it is to deal with their insurance +
coverage is great, call me back after you try to make a claim and watch them dance..
I wouldn't deal with anyone till they sign a written statement on what's covered.. Needless
to say we don't speak anymore and he didn;t return any money... Dave,
