Tell me who needs a break more in entry fee's, a pro or sportsman racer? It was reported that the IHRA is letting all Pro teams enter races for free, great!!!

Big hearts HA HA. More oil down time just what the sportsman racer wants to here. At the rate it takes IHRA to finish a national event they will need to start on Thursday now to finish by Monday. Oil down specials would be a better name for those so called pros on the IHRA tour. After the shows last year or lack of fan's are getting tired of paying 50$ plus per day to see mid 5 second top fuel and funny car runs. How about helping the guys and gals that they been racing over there for 25 plus years? Why not help your bread and butter racers. Just one more reason out of many not to race with IHRA in this coming season. Good luck to all racing under the big red top this year and may your checks cash.

Where do you get "more oil down time" out of that? There are no more Nitro FC or Alcohol FC's... stands to reason that you're looking at *less* oildown time, and less scheduling issues Pros have raced for free in NHRA for years. What's the difference? Still costs less to run in IHRA, with less days off work.

Mr Downinthedump3548.You seem to enjoy being condesending everytime IHRA is mentioned on this site,Why dont you spend more time making a paint change on your car. If I remember correctly the only real race youve ever won was IHRA. Did you feel it as a bad expierance because last we remember you were happy as a pig in **** just to win- let alone go a round or two anywhere! Good luck in 09.

I think your statement is partially correct; only the top ten points earners (pro) get free entry. I maybe wrong but I think this is how it goes, if someone knows otherwise please say so. Smitty |

Sohip nice cover name by the way it's too bad you don't have the balls to use you your real name but none the less that your choice. I don’t have time to worry about paint jobs my car will run -1.20 with or without a paint job. By the way Sohip where is your car you no named fag. But because you are so concerned about my old free paint job what color would you like me to paint it? Next time use you real name.
My problem with IHRA is there lack of farness. Example at a national event a few years back Sam Hammond a racer that mostly races NHRA won a round and by passed by the scales because no tech man one at them. Also at the same time a racer that runs mostly IHRA (and also brings four stockers and superstockers to all IHRA events) did the something. Before the next round Sam was disqualified and the other racer was still racing. That is my problem with IHRA. Yes in 06 IHRA was a great place to race but times have changed and it seams like IHRA has to and not in a good way. Mike Junk pro cars have junk parts equaling lots of oil down time. No matter if you have one class or three. Also NHRA has many three day races so I don’t see your point there. How is it cheaper to run IHRA? Entry fee of 190 vs. 240 and the IHRA payout at a national event is way less then NHRA (last year I have not looked this year). I can’t see how you are saving a great deal of money racing IHRA. Just alone if win a IHRA national you get 1000 and a NHRA national you get between 1500-2500 depending on what race it is. And the round money just flat sucks at all IHRA races. Example fourth round superstock looser at IHRA Nat race 150$ and at an NHRA Nat race you get 400$. How are you saving money? >> Mike Junk pro cars have junk parts equaling lots of oil down time. No matter if you have one class or three.
Do the math. Less cars, less chance of oil down time. >> Also NHRA has many three day races so I don’t see your point there. Over half of their national events are more than three days, plus you have 3-day Divisional races vs running two Pro-Ams in two days or two Pro-Ams and a Sportsman National in three days. >> How is it cheaper to run IHRA? Entry fee of 190 vs. 240 190 < 240. >> Just alone if win a IHRA national you get 1000 and a NHRA national you get between 1500-2500 depending on what race it is. 6 round race vs 7 round race doubles your percentage chance of winning an event. >> Example fourth round superstock looser at IHRA Nat race 150$ and at an NHRA Nat race you get 400$. IHRA $150 - $190 entry: -$40. NHRA $400 - $240 entry - $150(?) extra day off work: $10. Yah. Huge difference. ![]() Positive attitude: priceless.

Downing was also happy to run IHRA when NHRA didn't like his crate motor pistons.Sorry Charlie, but I don't like the trash talking you give IHRA, I use my real name so go for it. If you can't say something good just shut up and work on your driving.
