I did not go in the 11's but I am very proud of my 12.70's at 100mph with my V/S 6cyl. at Indy.

I might be wrong, but I remember the Gallina's with their V6 turbo Firebird back in the 90's going 11's. Might of even had a Buick Regal V6 turbo car before that.

Buick Turbo Regal Engine with slight improvements. My first thought was Kenny Duttweiler. He was a class racer and the first person I ever met ( around 1985-1986 ) that was doing hard core Turbo Regal development ( pre-1986 non intercooled versions) for Buick

I believe John Gallinas white T Type Buick was the first 6 cyl in the 11s with its previous owner which escapes me, division 1 I believe. Fred Vetter and Joe Garbarine come to mind. The 89 Pace Car trans am was the first 6 cyl in the 10s. Harry Doolittle was the first naturally aspirated 6 cyl in the 11s

I would guess it was a Buick T Type or GN? I'm sure Yac or Billy knows. (It wasn't my U/SA Nova, that's for sure! lol)

Ah, the memories...it seems like yesterday we were all sitting at the racer appreciation party in Bowling Green at the sports nationals . The topic at hand was the Buick turbo car entered in U/SA. Driven by Jim Deeter it had the field covered. Silent but deadly it made a mockery of the U/SA index. Sadly, the Monday after the race it was refactored to Q/SA. Ah, the good ole days.....
