Stacking policy at Indy Fall Classic National Open

Are early arrivals allowed at Indy National Open, and if so, starting at what time and which gate? Flier I saw only said gates open 8 am Friday. Anyone have any advice from past experience?

You may want to call the office 317 969 8600 to be sure.I was told that every one was going to stack Thursday through the main gate.But as you know things change at anytime.

I've never been to a NHRA divisional or national besides going to Indy to spectate. We are going to this race with a new car. Wondered if someone could explain how parking works. Thanks.

Roger could be correct, I would swing by gate 8 to see if it was open. If not head for the main entrance.

Friend of mine just found the answer on Lucas Oil Raceway web sight.
"All schedule information will be the same as last year. Only change from 2015 to this year is all racers/spectators will enter/exit through Main Gate all weekend. Gate 2 will open on Sunday for exit purposes. Stacking starts Thursday and parking will start Friday morning."

To try to help "65hardtop", if you arrive before gates open, a line will start in some fashion, that is called stacking. When the gates open, the line will slowly enter. At the National events, usually someone will show you where to park. At this race you may be able to park somewhat wherever you would like. I think stock & super stock park on the west side of track. Not sure about anyone else.

Jeff, I have ran the open for many years and have never seen a parking problem. Unless you just want to get away from home there is no reason to be there before Fri. Indy is huge and there will only be about 300 cars. I have always gone after work on Fri. and never had a problem parking and tech Sat. morning is no problem. Good luck.

Yes, Jeff is correct. All entry/exit will be through the Main Gate all weekend.

Gate 2 will open on Sunday for exit.
