Tag is ok for same day racing. Altronics needs 3 runs to give you a prediction. Altalab is the best in my
opinion

Have a Tag and Alta Lab. Alta far and away the better of the two. The TAG is great for the kids to play with though.

You'll probably want to go with the weather station industry leader, Computech Systems, Inc. Just take a quick look around the Pro Stock pits at the next national event. The handheld Raceair #1000 or the trailer based pager station, Raceair Remote #3200 are the best and my recommendation.

We use family software, the owner races and is always at the track. This system is all we have used for the past 20 years. Just remember garbage in, garbage out. They all work if used properly.

Great Christmas gift, Good luck

If you have a laptop or PC in your trailer, any quality weather instruments with the Drag-Log software from John Bates, (JBRACING)
Or if you need the weather data as well, the Port-A-Tree Eliminator with the weather station has great prediction software, and a good weather station, plus a state of the art practice tree, with free updates.

Under $500 for the Practice tree, weather station, and software.

The Port-A-Tree software can be deadly on predictions with very few runs entered, and the slope is customizable to your car with just a few runs entered for a baseline.

I've had one for years, great stuff from great folks.

I bought a Computech because they pay contingency in IHRA. I had a TAG. Computech has worked fine for me. The only thing I did'nt like was They only pay contingency for the car it's registered too. I doubled at Clay city in HR and SR and they only paid for the HR win.
