Pittsburgh Raceway Park - Pictures, Results, etc

Congrats to all winners and runner ups...

Day 1 was a success for Craig Marshall as he defeated Jeff Trip in Super Stock while Britt Mizia defeated Wayne Torato in Stock.

Jeff Nicewanger defeated Anthony Bertozzi in Day 2 racing action in the Super Stock class while Michael Beard defeated Wes McCracken in Stock ((DRC shows Wes winning but the text says Michael did, I'm almost 100% sure Michael won)

The National event on Sunday lead Luke Bogacki to winners circle with him taking out Britt Mizia in the finals of stock while Anthony Bertozzi took out Peter D'Agnolo.

Special congrats to Mizia and Bertozzi for their extra success this weekend, way to go guys!

The above link will take you to the pictures I took this weekend - I got 207 pictures, some aren't so great, my "reaction" was a little on the inconsistent side on a few of them. Picture taking came to a hault Saturday night when I dropped my camera and then it wouldn't turn on - talk about being peeved, thought I had broke it - turns out though the fall only broke the battery, so $30 spent today on another rechargable one and we're back on track. I've had a bit of the clumbsy drop its here lately, I'll try and be more careful in the future.

Here are some of my picks and a few "shout outs"....

Chris Bowman, we met him this weekend, super nice guy

Brett or Britt Mizia or something like that, see picture it's on it - met him too, was Friday Nights winner and Sundays runner up, another awesome Stock racer

Jim Bailey, met him too - real nice guy - just did rem and cryo treatment to our ring and pinion (and Beards...)

Luke Bogacki, Sunday's winner - kind of quite guy but he's cool, awesome racer

Not sure if this is Paula or Paul Cambria - they're both pretty nice, talked to Paula this weekend about her dog Prada (she's a sweetie)

Bo Kenny, just kind of liked the picture...

Bart Kilraine - another friendly stock racer, Scott **** chatted with him several times through out the weekend

Eddie Bolton - we didn't know him at MIR but after Scott blew up the driveshaft Eddie stopped on top end to offer us anything he had - unfortuately he had everything but a 48 inch (or whatever it was) driveshaft - lol!! That was pretty cool of him though, he's our friend now

Mike Hayek - this guy is probably one of the coolest and most outgoing person you'll find at the track - we met him this weekend, another super nice guy

Michael Beard, he won Saturdays race

Anthony Bertozzi, he was runner up Friday and won on Sunday, not a bad weekend at all - for a guy who said he wasn't racing in July (ha ha!!!)

Denny Hillman, he was our neighbor, tried to help me fix my camera, but regular AA batteries weren't quite enough

Mike Leopold, our neighbors neighbor, we met him last year but he's a cool guy so we'll give him a shout out too!
