Nope, it wasn't me. But someone on here did say something like that. After thrashing (trashing?) 301 Pontiacs for a few years, I wouldn't be concerned about the bottom ends in the iron dukes. Believe it or not, they use a lot of the same parts.
85 Camaro/Tech4 has been on my to-do list for a while. It's better than the earlier ones.

1979 3 seat ford country squire wagon with 302 2 bbl.
3703# and 130hp = 28.48 natural

1979 wagon
3643# and 130hp = 28.02 natural

1979 2dr ltd
3406# and 130hp =26.2 natural

There are LOTS of ford combos with the 302 2bbl!! Yes I would love to see a 26# v8 class!!

And so would I but (IMHO) NHRA doesn't like slow, in-expensive combos that the average working slob can afffford. Before they come up with a 26 lb. V8 class, they should try "fixing" the weight breaks in their FWD classes.

I might of been the one on the Iron Dukes 4---we did a lot of coordinated development with Paul Vanderley & Harold at General Kinetics and also Pontiac racing on creating SD4 parts and not only making them perform but also to survive and not self destruct---FED 387

I wouldn't think that the bottom end would be much of an issue in a Stocker.
