Thumbs up Re: "Live From" GALOT Motorsports Park

This was my first trip to GALOT, but it won't be my last. The track hooked extremely well, especially given the high track temps!

I run radials on both cars with a stick and had no problems with traction!

The pits are roomy, they have a lot of nice features such as access to power in many!

Nice showers and even an RV dump station you can hit on the way out.

it is pretty obvious that the staff does a great job maintaining and running things.

If they ever are able to acquire land to extend to 1/4, this could be a national event track!

It was worth the trip for sure.

It is a great track to race at and the staff does a good job! Glad it's close to home and you can test on regular test and tune nights for $30.
On the down side for me I started to help Ken with the thread by posting the Super Stock sheets but I had to bail on him after busting a transmission on the second qualifying run but on the bright side my little girl drove her Jr to the finals in her first 7.90 race. That helped take the sting out a little and we'll drop the spare in and head to Virginia this weekend.

I agree with you from a spectator point of view. Great vantage points for taking pictures and clean restrooms. They were even cleaning them on Friday afternoon on my way out. Didn?t partake of the cafe, reports are it?s good food, but don?t know about prices. Will most definitely try and make the trip again. Easy drive from Columbia bout 3 hours.
