Default Re: Keeping trailer nice without shelter

I have to park my enclosed trailer and pickup outside and and also have trees. Not a good combination. I have owned both since they were new.

My truck is a 2008 Dodge D-3500 DRW and it has never spent a night inside in its life.

It has "camper shell".

I have a California Car Cover for it and it is on the truck most all the time. The truck still looks very good. The cover fits well and I have not noticed any paint wear and it is windy in Oklahoma.

I am pretty good at getting the cover off and on by myself but it can be tough and frustrating if it is windy. Much easier if I ask my wife for help.

The trailer a 24ft 2001 Classic has not faired so well. It will take a compound job for it to really look good again.

If I were to get a new trailer I would seriously consider a cover for it. However getting it on and off would not be easy. My truck cover can be washed at a commercial laundry. I don't know if a trailer cover could be, something to check.

The covers don't last forever. I think I am on at least my third cover for the truck. One cover was replaced under warranty. The cover on it now has been repaired once under warranty. The UV from the sun is very hard on the stitching.

Probably more than most of you wanted to know but I hope it helps someone.
