Both. I would get water temp to the same but intake temp would be different. I would get to know what et difference from morning
to afternoons with the weather changes then look at intake temp and maybe open hood to cool or keep closed to maintain. I wish I had ET book but car was destroyed in accident I didn't keep all the personal, but it showed very good graph of et difference with intake temp change.
