I recall being told that a wet battery should be mounted a specific direction, because acceleration can cause plates to short out. Is that lengthwise or transverse?

I'm also considering adding a second battery. Should I put both batteries together in RR corner, or put second in left rear corner?

Front axle: 2,470 pounds
Rear axle: 1,740 pounds
Total: 4,220 pounds
(plus my 190 pound self)
If this is a class car, remember both batteries must be of the same make and model. No 75lb. battery in the rear and a 15lb battery in the front. Jim
