I usually carry around .050 in the box even with 28" fronts, so cutting a light isn't an issue. I chose the stop on time mostly to be sure I can always coast across the 60' timer, so I have some gauge of track conditions.
The least amount of stop time I've ever used is 1.19, into a headwind at Topeka in 3500 foot air. I should probably be using a higher stop RPM, but I have a setup that works so I'm hesitant to change it.
