Re: Ohio based "90 series"?
Sorry for not answering any sooner than now. Was at Indy for the D3 Banquet and the meetings from Thursday through Sunday.
On the July 18th event run in conjunction with the Night of Thunder show at NTR, the Super Series classes will run their time trials and eliminations before the jets fire off around 7:00 PM. The goal is to run the regular ET program with the show like normal. The Super Series will be conducted before the show and the final round of all three classes will be run in succession to kick off the opening round of the show at 7:00. Last year after the show ended at around 11:00 PM, we still had about three rounds of the bracket race to run afterwards, so timing in between the show sessions should not be a problem.
The entry fee for the Super Series classes at each event (any of the three classes) will be $65. The payout structure for all three classes at each event is as follows:
Winner: $800
R/U: $250
Semi: $100
The points series payout at the end of the year has a slight difference between the Super Comp / Gas classes and Super Street:
S/C & S/G
Winner: $1,000
R/U: $500
S/ST
Winner: $750
R/U: $400
In addition to the points payout, the winner of a best package runoff between the three champions will receive a $500 gift certificate from Jegs. Entry into the points is $30 for either Super Series class.
Once again, congrats to all of the winners at the numerous awards banquets on your great 2008 seasons and continued success to everyone in 2009.
