keep the Ford the 347 should be able the get you there depending on the weight of the car. If you can't get the 347 in the med tens try a 393 or a 408 W. I run a 378W with not much to it cast crank old TFS heads and small tude 1'5/8 headers and its been 9.95 131 usually runs 10.10s. Good luck Robbie
