Woodro makes a good point. Right about the time that he had his wreck at Gainesville, I was about to make some updates on the pedals and brakes in our stocker.

At that point I went out and made sure I put in a stop so that the rod could not fall out of the master cylinder. I welded a nut where the brake light switch would be, and used a 1/2in bolt and another nut to lock the bolt in place. It is a little overkill, but now there is no way that the brake rod can fall out of the master cylinder on my car, unless the master cylinder physically breaks off of the firewall.
