Run the flat hood if you want, they dont care. The way I understand it; from a conversation or twenty with Bruce Bachelder; if a hood was produced in the year that you claim your car is and it fits; it's OK. UNLESS.......... it is a cowl induction or fresh air hood that was not available with your combo or if we are talking Corvette, in which case NOTHING is legal. I think the Mopar contingent has stretched this deal farther than anyone and the Ford guys always seem to find obscure documentation when they need it. You being a Chevy guy are at a disadvantage cuz there is a purist/expert under every rock that just can't wait to point out that your car is "not right" I personally think that the time has come to stop fretting about such things and consider rulebook wording like "stock type replacement hoods, OE material, OE hinges and latches allowed". Remember, this is just my opinion and it's worth every dime you are paying for it. .
