Ronald David Duke

Ronald David Duke, age 55, of Readyville, died Friday, June 13, 2008. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, with Philip Slate, John Risse, and Tom Ratliff officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Smith Duke; sons, David Duke of Nashville, Duane (Angie) Duke of Murfreesboro; parents, Frank Edward and Wilma Jo Elrod Duke of Murfreesboro; brother, Jerry (Peggy) Duke of Nashville; niece, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Lassiter, and nephew, Michael (Melanie) Duke.

Mr. Duke was a member of the North Blvd. Church of Christ and retired from Textron with over 20 years of service. Pallbearers will be Dalton Oliver, Jr., James Hackney, Tom Polk, Thomas Baker, Jr., Jerry Pittman, Perry Simpkins, Gary Jennings, Edwin McKnight, Michael Duke, and Paul Kennedy.
