Default Re: U/SA 302 ffffford build

Wife told me Friday at 10am her plans she had for us on the weekend fell through. I said..well....there's a race this weekend...and she said yes?!?!

Loaded up, took off to the track for a bracket racing weekend. (more testing than anything to be honest)

I was in the last pair to go down the track Friday night.
Last pass I ran back in July was a 14.68@87.99 on my 14.85 index.
First pass Friday night was 14.68@88.99mph -.17 under
Pulled the booster cluster out of the carb and cleaned the one air bleed that seemed to be plugged, engine sounded cleaner and...

First pass this morning was a 14.57@89.19 -.280 under!!

Things are going in the right direction!!

Next pass, did my burn out and pulled to the line and they shut me off, tranny leak. Must be one of the rubber lines going to the cooler blew off or broke, whatever, I can fix that. Looked....uh oh...the fluid is coming out of the bellhousing!! CRAP!!
Towed it back to the bus and then fired it up and drove it in, made a bit of a mess but whatever.

So...drive home a couple hours, pull the tranny and change the front seal, or, jump in the 86 mustang and bring it back and just bracket race that, or...take the wife to the drive-in, in my 86 mustang, guess which one she chose for me? LOL!

Just like that, the new converter and new transmission pooped the bed. I had 3/16 to 1/4" movement in the converter when I pulled it up to the flex plate so it wasn't bottomed out in the pump so I don't know what happened. Eye surgery Monday so this might be sitting for a bit.

Going in the right direction, but man, it's going SLOWWWWWLY!
