Brian, can I pick up things at Earlville Double National Open/MCR race?
If I order it on my laptop, the Border Guards are now going through
your laptops and phones. If I ship it home, lets say a hat and one of
Glens license plate( which, like all fine Art, I am expecting a massive
appreciation on), the total would be 45.00 US funds, & 30.00 US shipping.
It gets to the border & value is changed to Canadian Dollars. So now we
are at 108.75 Canadian. Brokerage to clear Customs is 35.00, now we
are at 131.75. Add on 25% Tariff fee, at 32.94 brings us to 174.69. Now
just add the GST (Federal Tax) @ 5% and the PST (State Tax) @ 7% and
it brings me to 195.66. I'd rather wear the hat home, put on the license
plate, and give you 45.00. I get a headache thinking about it.
