I've run a remote solenoid but never for heat problems. I never understood how a remote solenoid did anything for heat since you're still having to use the starter mounted solenoid. If it's a GM product you should always have a relay or remote solenoid just to take the load from your NS switch, those micro switches are not made to carry the amperage load of a GM starter.
