I have a friend who has lived in SoCal like forever. He keeps saying he want to move out of there. He'll ask about the weather in cities out this way....
Does it get hot ? YES
Does it get cold and snow? YES
How far are the drag strips? 100 , 200, 300 miles "OH"

I keep telling him you're in The Last Resort....
