I would call it an excellent plan. The GMPP engine will save hundreds of dollars and hours of fooling around, trying to gather original parts and having machine work done. You write a check, put the engine in the car, and literally hours later, you're having fun. Just my opinion, but absolutely the only way to go, for what your Dad wants to accomplish.
