Actually most of the original super stock classes need some help on the indexes or HP ratings to make them more competitive
In my case I had to run Mike Cotton in his Cuda for SS/IA at the baby gateors last weekend. His car has a 383 combo at 300 HP. My car is a 327 combo at 295 HP. That just doesn't sound right to me. That's 56 cubic inches difference at only 50 lbs weight difference. Most SS cars are making at least 1.75 HP/ Cu In. That would equate to about 100 HP difference between the two engines.

Mike I usually let things slide but I have to respond to this one.
Yes my combo looks pretty good until you take it to Indy or look at Nitro Joes stats for ss/ja.
Maybe you should aim your complaints at the top car's in the class.
In addition you shared with me how much $ you have in your engine. I have more than that in the valve train of mine. I have spent 12 years testing, waisting money and time perfecting this combo.
For you to imply the reason your car can't run with mine is because I'm underfactored is not only insulting it's just dead wrong.
