Hello everyone, next week is the Carolina Nationals in Charlotte and I thought this would be a good time to call on all of my fellow racers. As many of you know my hometown of New Bern was hit very hard as well as the surrounding areas. There has been tremendous support and alot has been done over the last couple weeks but there are still lots of people who need help!
I will be accepting donations at Charlotte to bring home and distributed by some of the local churches. If you are able to contribute it would be very much appreciated. There are lots of needs from cleaning supplies to old clothes, any thing will help, some of these folks have lost everything and no contribution is too small. I know my fellow racers are some of the most giving and helpful people in the world and nothing would make me more proud than to have to rent a Uhaul to get it all back to New Bern! If you're not coming to Charlotte you can still help by visiting one of the many organizations' websites that are helping during this crisis and donate money. One of those is CAREolinas.com. I spoke with Rich today and the track has partnered with them and stickers will be available to everyone to help bring awareness to the need.
