More air in the front tires will give you a little less rollout, and if you were just doing the .500 tree it would save you from buying shorter tires...
On the .400 tree I believe that you will need to get some shorter tires to hit it and tie the front down some..

One way to look at it, you would need to have 1.100 in your delay box on a full tree to simulate a .400 tree..
