Re: "Live" from the Dutch Classic
Good morning - Today the race to 'Seven Seconds' is on - 2 Mustangs and a Camaro all fighting to get there first - one Mustang went 8.18 then another at 8.12 but in the end it was David beating back the the two Goliaths with a knockout 8.10 .Mr.Barton I'm told also set the FS/AA National Record with that 8.10 at a tick under 167 MPH .But today is another day that all three will get another crack at it .Between the three of them they used up gallons of C-25 and a ton of ice along with plenty of man power .Good luck to them .
The track - well it was super early on - then went downhill mid-day but came back late in the afternoon .The weather wasn't super - most of the day it hung in the 2000 plus DA range .
Speaking of the weather - this morning isn't terrific as I can only see clearly about fifty yards tops- because of very, very thick fog .Our 8:30 start probably isn't going to happen but we'll keep you posted.
