Re: Weather report needed
Dave,
It was snowing like crazy out a few hours ago, though it has stopped as of now. Unfortunately for myself, I had to make an emergency trip to Vermont, so I was on the NYS Thruway headed east this afternoon, and I can tell you first hand that the roads were marginal. Not terrible, but not perfectly clear either. As a result, most people wanted to only go 55 mph (I was fine going 75 mph, but not everyone would be), so as a result it was a little slow going (in my 140 mile round trip, I also counted 4 or 5 cars off the road, which again slowed things down even more). By the time the snow stopped around 5pm, the westbound lanes of the NYS Thruway were in pretty good shape though.
All that said, for what they're calling for snow-wise over the next few days (only another inch or two), I think you'll be fine. At noon, 390 in Rochester was not good, but by 4pm it was decent. So, I would expect that by the time you get here, 390 / 15 should be perfectly clear.
C'mon down! The weather's great...
