Default Re: Woodfin's SS GT/TB construction series

Jake,

I have not considered the cost but for purposes of the build information I will give thought to your question and get back to you.

Until then, my age is 68 and I have built MANY drag race cars. My focus is always on what the buildup needs to be competitive and what it will take to perform in the expected ET range. When selecting parts I do consider cost balanced with service life and past experience.

And part of my thought process, building and driving drag race car is my hobby and passion. It is my equivalent of other folks hunting, fishing, golfing, model air planes etc.

I have found nothing that that interest me more nor gives me more pleasure. If I had saved all the money I have spent on drag race cars I would be a wealthy man. However, for me, that would be a boring way to live. I consider the lessons learned, races won, memories made, priceless.

Finally, the associations. Working with family and friends, the respectful relationships cultivated, all part of a very satisfying package.
