Re: Silly Season is here question
1) I liked hot cars and I had a summer job sacking groceries and one of my co-workers was into NHRA stock eliminator racing.
2) Why? Because it's the only thing that gives you that gut feeling of nerves when you pull to the line for first round. Similar to a opening kick off from high school days. And winning a round, what a payoff for all the hard work for racing.
3)Started racing in the 70's but didn't really become active until 1987 when I got divorced. I could probably retire if I didn't want to race. At 63 I still enjoy it, but I've noticed I had quit trying to make my car go faster but rather I work at making my racing operation easier to handle at the track.(I'm a local bracket racer). Hope to race into my 70's another ten years or so.
