From my recollection, the Feather Dusters and Dart Lites had aluminum transmission cases in the OD manual transmission, aluminum underhood panel, not the top skin which I think was steel (saw one in a junkyard with a scratch that was rusted), something aluminum in the bumper braces, I think it was the support behind the bumper. I don't recall any aluminum center sections. I doubt they put 8-3/4" axles in them since that ended in 1972 and those cars I think were 1975 or 1976 models. I think they were all slant sixes, so probably they got the 7-1/4" axle.

I have seen photos of a prototype aluminum 318 block. I think it was a Magnum 5.2L version.
